Intervention

The Intervention Team work closely with class teams to identify those children in school who require a more specific level of support to develop their skills and knowledge further. We work in the children’s own classes as much as possible so they feel happy and secure in their own environment, however we also use the quiet intervention room if we feel it’s more beneficial to the child. We may follow a specific programme of work or we may follow a series of steps to help the child to achieve. We support in all aspects of Literacy, Numeracy, PSHE, and with fine motor skills-supporting hand eye co-ordination skills such as pegging and threading.
